I have the XM radio plugin installed on Slimserver 6.3.1 running on an
Intel Mac OS X Tiger. I have a proper account for XM Online.
The squeezeboxes definitely can connect to XM - I see the genres, top
20's etc but when I hit Play, it says "connecting" then no sound or
evidence of playing.
I checked SS's FileType page, and at the bottom Windows Media WMA is
checked ("built in"). Unchecking it will make the suqeezeboxes say
'check filetypes'.
Note the Mac cannot play the XM stream from the website either: no
sound.
I think this is all related to the lack of WMA support in OSX Tiger and
the plugin from Flip2Mac isn't yet intel Mac compatable (they say its
for release soon).
Does SS require the third party plugin to play XM on Mac?
Can anyone get XM playing on their Intel Mac or squeezeboxes attached
to an Intel Mac?
