The only reason I do it is because I have started new threads for a problem - or chimed in on a similar thread - and then been referred back to a long running thread instead.
Ok, if a plugin maintainer prefers to have that one huge thread, then that's up to him to deal with. But in this case creating another sub-forum wouldn't help, would it?
