Didn't work Its not a setting or install issue, completely scrubbed squeezeboxserver, including all folders in /var/lib and /usr/share, /etc/squeezeboxserver, reinstalled with only 1 new plugin as iPlayer and still same.
Though I hasten to add, my guess was 10% slow, so bpa's 9% sounds exactly like the issue.
