It's not going to be resolved. Spotify is about to pull the plug on legacy libraries.
because without Search there is no point in having Spotify on my Squeezebox.
For the moment you should install the official Spotify App on mysb.com, configure it, and use the Spotify Protocol Handler plugin. That's basically just the playback part of Triode's, but without the menus.
I say for the moment, as Spotify has announced to pull the plug on the underlying library later this year, too... Please see related threads.
