But wait: LMS knows the playback latency of each player and can also
control (change) timing by skipping samples or pausing so you should
theoretically be able to determine the exact time when a sample is being
played.
If you can’t report back a downstream latency to AirPlay that would mean
you have tom skip a few ms at the beginning of playback but usually
AirPlay itself induces quite a latency (2s for most devices) so that
should not be a problem, shouldn’t it? Or can’t you influence/report
that AirPlay latency?
