I run SlimServer 6.5 (and periodically get the nightly 6.5.1 builds) on Linux (Fedora Core 6)

I ripped all my CDs using EAC on a Windows PC to create .wav and .cue files for each CD, and then FTP'd them to a directory on my Linux machine.

Now, I bought an iPod Shuffle and it seems to be designed to work with iTunes (no surprise)

I want to connect the Shuffle to my wife's Windows XP machine and let her load music that is already ripped.

However, I'm a little stuck as to the best way to do this? I see an iTunes Plug-in, but if I understand correctly, iTunes and SllimServer must run on the same machine... that's not the case for me.

Any suggestions? I MAY end up ripping again my entire collection because I really prefer to have individual files for each song, rather than for each CD. So, I'm open to such extreme suggestions too if necessary.

iTunes is available for Windows and Mac OS X... Isn't OS X Unix-like? Would that version run on Linux?

Thank you,
Don
