did not realise the default place where to save files had to be changed, for reasons I do not know. But I changed it and now everything works, I've created my picks and nearly all is fine. Something does not work but I think it is the station in itself since it does not even play in the PC.
I repositioned the repeater and all of the jerky sound has gone. the Squeezebox has become more responsive overall so this thing has improved my listening.
