It crashes too fast for me to see anything happen, less than a second,
essentially as soon as I hit it with slimfx in a browser. I tried again
while watching top, but all I saw was the slimserver process disappear.

No, it never happened prior to using slimfx, but I don't mess around with
the CLI ever. Like I said, I got the same type of crash using Fat Gooey
also, but up until Saturday when I started testing FG and yesterday with
slimfx, everything was fine and dandy. And still is, until I fire up one of
those tools.

I saw your other message, and tried something different. I telnetted to the
port on the localhost that SS is running on, here's what I got:

Ran this:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/home/ddewey->telnet localhost 9090
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.localdomain (127.0.0.1).
Escape character is '^]'.
genres 0 10000
Connection closed by foreign host.

This is the output from another session running SS from the command line:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/usr/local/slimserver->./slimserver.pl -d_cli
2007-02-05 16:03:44.5887 CLI: Now accepting connections on port 9090

2007-02-05 16:04:19.9031 CLI: Accepted connection from 127.0.0.1:43129 (1
active connections)
2007-02-05 16:04:21.4238 CLI: 127.0.0.1:43129 - Buffered [genres 0 10000

2007-02-05 16:04:21.4262 CLI: Dispatching [genres]
Segmentation fault

So apparently it doesn't have anything to do with connecting from one
machine to a SS on another, it has the same effect on the localhost.
