I checked the logfile,  re-entered my Spotify ID, and set the log level
to INFO.
still not seeing hearing Spotify on Boom or Play.

Would you have a firewall or proxy server which might be blocking traffic on port 4070 (outgoing)? Spotty seems to fail to connect with its servers.
