You’re right, something like that would be easier for everybody. But
don’t you think that it could be possible to have the JS script
extracted automatically (better than by a regex). Browsers handle
changing versions, so why can’t we do it?. Or does that mean we almost
have to rewrite a semi-complete html parser?
Exactly why we can't do it: we'd have to write a complete JS parser.
TBH. I don't really understand how that function is being extracted. How
do you even know what to look for?
