The pcp-streamer method does have a 10 second or so lag and I have found that the sound stutters a bit for a minute or so before it settles down. It will only accept one connection. The Raspbian, Liquidsoap, Icecast2 method on the other hand has no stutter and less of a lag circa 3-4 seconds and will accept multiple connections. It is more fiddly to set up but I believe a better solution if you want something remote from the LMS server.
