Partially going for a cleaner, sparser look. And partially, the icon does not display/update correctly without the info line under player. (Maybe a similar thing to the volume slider that was not refreshing correctly in desktop layout that you recent fixed by making vue "aware" of it.) I'll do a little more testing of that and if the same sort of fix works, I'd add it back.
