It's not that important for the overall functionality, and I reckon that when it irritates Yours truly enough that you'll figure it out and release an update in your own time, if you ever have the time or motivation!... Now I at least know that there's nothing wrong with my setup, as I really had a tough time, despite your excellent instructions, to get this right in the Google API. Had to wipe all my other projects and start from scratch, reinstall/update LMS server on RPi and *-_purge_the_famous_/var/lib/squeezeboxserver/prefs/plugin/youtube.prefs_-* before I got it to work. -None of which I knew about in advance or know which had the desired effect ;-) Thanks again for the reply!
