For me, https://episodes.castos.com/heartbeatsdk/Rockhistorier-Bob-Dylan-1-4-rettet.mp3 does not crash the latest squeezelite 1.9.6-1196 on an rpi or an intel linux pc.
There was a fix for mp3 memory corruption at version 1.9.0-1105 which used to crash squeezelite with mp3 streams. Adding *-e mad* to the squeezelite command line was a way to avoid the crash before the issue was resolved. What version of picoreplayer and squeezelite are you running?
