Yes, the Strings.pm file has been unchanged since 6.5.0. You either need the patch utility or can do it manually - the two lines are simple enough to edit. On http://bugs.slimdevices.com/attachment.cgi?id=1848&action=diff you see the green lines you have to add at the places given (see line numbers). As for the new strings: if you don't want to risk breaking the original file you can save them as custom-strings.txt in the slimserver folder. And you only need the EN line plus the one representing your language.
