What's the difference for your plugin regarding Material/ LMS and Squeezer (Jive (Controller) is also working)?...
I can only assume it's the way how it's calling MAI. If you enable INFO logging for control.command you should see what exact commands the clients are sending. Still odd that it would only skip one step, though.
