Hi John, I don't have Vista on any of my PC's and I can't remember anything specific to Vista cropping up before, maybe someone can confirm that it works ok for them.
If you don't mind messing with regedit (assuming Vista still lets you do that) you can get MC2Slim into debug mode which may help in identifying what's happening. Change HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DZ Software\MC2Slim Debug View to 1 and restart MC2Slim. This will run it in debug mode and generate a log file that should help.
