Just a quick thought about something in reading this thread.
I recently setup spicefly sugarcube again after many years off. A great re-discovery. These days I have many many more files, and having some fun with it. The archive is heavily peppered with needledrops I've made on my own (24bit/48k flac)... what I notice is that while a mix is playing, and spicefly plays one of the needledrop tracks, it seems to tend towards picking another needledropped track and stays in that rut for awhile. My theory is that the sound signature contains some artifacts of the turntable tube preamp or whatever wow and flutter exists in the LP gear I've got and so the musicIP algorithm matches that (somewhat) and gets stuck there. Anyway just an idle observation I have no data to back this up but my own musing. thanks for reading ------------------------------------------------------------------------ waltonb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=62335 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=112898 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
