These devices are, in general, used to set the date/time in the
operating system.
So, once it is working, it would be used by LMS etc without having to do
anything else.

The challenge is that pCP uses piCore which is a specialised operating
system and does not have everything in it that some applications/
developers expect.
The instructions at https://docs.macetech.com/doku.php/chronopi show
that the one you found uses i2c … so one thing to watch for is something
else (like an audio board) trying to do the same thing.
If this is a server only (not a player) then that issue would not arise.

If no-one here says that they already have it working then maybe the
supplier can do a quick test themselves or agree a no cost return if it
does nor work with pCP.
