Rodlogic ok, try this. Attached is a patched version of route.pm which does what I said. It seems to work for AFK and also BHM, without breaking at least the routes I normally have set up.
Matthew - its not pretty but it works, I'm sure you'll make this more elegant but at least it gets the poor people of Ashford and Birmingham on line...
