This might be useful to you - the developer mode options on Android include the ability to keep the phone awake when charging. Go to settings, about phone. Scroll to the bottom and start tapping on the "build number" section - after a while you will get a countdown to unlock developer mode. Once unlocked, choose system from settings and you'll see the developer options (may be under 'advanced').
