All my devices are in the same IP space, ie. a flat network. My LMS server (also where squeeze2upnp-x86-static is) has a static IP (10.0.0.10/24) on the wired eth0 interface. Alpine doesn't use any firewall by default and I haven't added one either. So, basically, it's about as simple as you can get (unless there's something going on that I'm not aware of). That said, I'm doing a "router on a stick" sort of thing with a Wyse 3040 as my main router, also running Alpine. There are two vlans trunked to the router, my internal 10.0.0.0/24 and then another vlan for the internet side. Firewall on the router.
