I was hoping tidal would allow me to do the same and looking in the fronted (material) I can see the external_id for tidal tracks is set up the same way "wimp:album:123456".
It's simpler than that: you can take a "share" link from TIDAL like eg. https://tidal.com/browse/album/218503127. This should then load the album.
