If this is the same bug that virtually killed the cross-platform enterprise client/server product I worked on years ago (and it's looking more and more like it is), it's been around since at least Windows NT and will probably outlive me unless you come up with a solution, Philippe. (No pressure) ;) Right now I feel like Captain Ahab standing on the deck of the Pequod, precariously holding onto the rail while shaking my fist and shouting into the wind "Get him, lads!", having just spotted my nemesis off the bow for the first time in 20 years.
