I just switched on direct update to get this, and on the screen on my PC it did open the itunes application (in fact it maximised it from the system tray) but still reported that it couldn't launch it, or find the track. Perhaps having read this it's the 'failed to launch' rather than 'not found' that's the bigger issue.
