The mix icon beside albums in Custom Browse currently launch a "Random" mixer in Custom Browse, this has nothing to do with Dynamic Playlist. The "Random" mixer just plays a specific number of tracks in random order. In SlimServer 6.5 it was possible to configure the number of random tracks that should be played in Server Settings/Plugins/Custom Browse, unfortunately I don't think I've implemented this particular setting in the SC7 version yet.
