I've been observing that lately. Maybe just since upgrading to 7.x. I have over 10,000 tracks in my library and if I generate a new random playlist there will often be multiple tracks from the same album within a few positions of each other. It seems to go in cycles where tracks from the same album (maybe artist too?) are more likely to appear near each other...
