The biggest problem I've seen with those photo frames is that most do not support having pictures "pushed" to them. Not only that, but there's usually very little pre-sales documentation on how frequently they will "pull" from the network. Nobody wants a Now Playing display that could be minutes behind the music.
You're probably better off using a laptop or tablet as the basis of a frame running a normal OS like Linux or Windows that could then display a simplified Web interface or perhaps run the desktop SqueezeOS/Jive app. It looks like a couple vendors are about to sell 7" widescreen tablets with detachable keyboards that could easily be used for this. -Peter -- peterw http://www.tux.org/~peterw/ free plugins: http://www.tux.org/~peterw/#slim AllQuiet BlankSaver FuzzyTime PlayLog PowerCenter/BottleRocket SaverSwitcher SleepFade StatusFirst SyncOptions VolumeLock ------------------------------------------------------------------------ peterw's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2107 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=46617 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
