The biggest problem I've seen with those photo frames is that most do
not support having pictures "pushed" to them. Not only that, but
there's usually very little pre-sales documentation on how frequently
they will "pull" from the network. Nobody wants a Now Playing display
that could be minutes behind the music.

You're probably better off using a laptop or tablet as the basis of a
frame running a normal OS like Linux or Windows that could then display
a simplified Web interface or perhaps run the desktop SqueezeOS/Jive
app. It looks like a couple vendors are about to sell 7" widescreen
tablets with detachable keyboards that could easily be used for this.
