Your initial problem - the fact that Virgin stutters and virgin is either wma or mp3 (i.e. not RealAudio) makes me believe you have a network issue.
Until SC is fixed - to have any chance with AlienBBC you will need the bug fix in the previous post if you are using post any SC with a update later than 19234. If you are on Windows - try the standalone test which was run on installation.
