Is there a way to suppress adding new tracks to dynamic playlists?
(Toggling the "Add new items when old ones finish" checkbox does not
seem to affect this).

When I use a playlist generated from the "Random for custom tag"
template, there is a dropout of a second or two about 80% of the time
near the beginning of each track in the playlist. This correlates
exactly with an additional track being automatically added to the end
of the playlist.

I am also running the Transition Updater. When I changed it from its
default crossfade of 10 seconds to 5 seconds, the dropout problem went
away.

The dropout problem does not happen with Dynamic Playlists based on
ratings (ratings generated with Trackstat, not as tags on files). The
problem does happen with all custom tags, not just one in particular.
It does not happen when doing dynamic/SQL playlists based on default
slimserver-recognized tags (such as Genre).

I am running SqueezeCenter 7.01 - 18946 on WinXP with a recent dual
core AMD processor and 2 GB of RAM. When this problem happens, buffer
is 100%. Although the repro is not 100%, it is quite reliable,
including the effect of the workaround of changing the TU crossfade
seconds to something other than 10 seconds. I never noticed this
problem on Slimserver 6.5, but the crossfade default used to be 5
seconds.

In any case, I would love to know how to disable automatic addition of
tracks to dynamic playlists, especially if it could be done
per-playlist, just for future reference.

Erland, thank you so much for your amazing plugins. I waited to upgrade
to 7.0 specifically until all your stuff was looking good in beta.
You've got my vote for Squeezebox lifetime MVP!
