I just got a test box for this exact reason. It's actually much faster than my "production" box. Production is Celeron 600 w/256mb ram and a few IDE drives. The "test" box is dual P3 733mhz w/512mb ram and Ultra2 SCSI and a few IDE channels (zip drive too). I'm installing FreeNAS 0.69 beta to the Zip disk (full install) and partitioning the 37gb scsi drive for data.
