Had a go at this this evening. Seems to work well and picked up the mac address of my players no problem. It is great you are still innovating this and i thought this might be interesting to consider:
How about being able to show multiple player info and art at the same time? I always found it a bit of a pain to switch players to see what is going on on each one and the status screen in settings shows player info but not what is playing or if it is stopped or off.
