I have 7.2.1 on a SuSe system and I can play the URL ( http://mediaweb.musicradio.com/Playlist.asx?StreamID=25 ) via Tune-Into without any code changes. It works both natively and through mplayer. I have access to Ubuntu Hardy which I will test later.
So the problem is either your version of SC or the installation rather than code. Please test with Tune-in as that avoids other errors such as typos in opml file. First - the station can take a long time to start which coupled with using mplayer may result in a timeout - make sure Settings/Advanced/Network/Radio Station Timeout is at least 25. Second - upgrade to 7.2.1 and see if problem recurs.
