Works for me, but not the way you're doing it.  When you initially
started SoftSqueeze did you have it create an icon on your desktop?

Well, go to your SYSTEM PREFS and open ACCOUNTS.  Highlight your
account name on the left side and click the tab labeled LOGIN ITEMS. 
At the bottom of the new window that opens, click on the '+'.  You may
be asked to enter your ADMIN PASSWORD.  Otherwise, follow the windows
and CLICK on SqueezeSoft, adding it to your startup items list.

Now try restarting and see what happens....
