Sorry guys, as I don't have a Mac I'm not sure what I can do to help here. Using both the plugins together just means that ratings set from TrackStat get saved to iTunes by iTunesUpdate. The action against iTunes is identical to if you save the rating in iTunesUpdate itself though.
FYI, on Windows, when you try and close iTunes after using iTunesUpdate, a dialog pops up that warns you that someone is accessing iTunes using scripting and gives you 30 seconds to cancel the shutdown, which delays my PC shutting down.
