If you are trying to playing a WMA stream to stream.mp3 - yopu need something to decode WMA and lame to encode it into MP3.
On Linux and OSX - AlienBBC will decode WMA, on XP there is a SC supplied app to do the job. I don't know the iPhone capabilities - is it not able to play WMA streams directly ?
