How many artists ? When editing a library it retrieves a list of all artists and if this is very long it could probably cause issues like this. It's not the problem if we are talking about a few hundred artists but if we are talking about 10000 artists or something similar this could probably cause issues like this.
Couly you try to enable debug logging in SqueezeCenter Settings/Advanced/Logging on the "plugin.multilibrary" second and then try to edit a library again.
