Sorry, SrvrPowerCtrl doesn't know anything about your FTP session. If the FTP session is initiated by a script (or if you could make it so that it is), you could "bracket" the ftp commands with statements that set and clear SrvrPowerCtrl blocks so that SrvrPowerCtrl doesn't interfere with the backup procedure.
What OS are you running on this server?
