I didn't create the plugin - I have been doing maintenance on it. I would advise testing BBCiPLayer as it is now out of beta. http://forums.slimdevices.com/showpost.php?p=451721&postcount=408
AlienBBC uses web pages to create menus and get program info which is a high maintenance activity. BBCiPlayer uses the BBC XML feed which is the better and quicker ways of getting same info. Also BBCiPlayer uses AAC streams which use faad to decode which has uses less CPU and memory than mplayer and AAC have better quality than RealAudio at same speed. It is hoped to retire AlienBBC as soon as Local Radio goes AAC. Then AlienBBC will just need to provide RealAudio support for a few stations and not maintain the BBC menus. -- bpa ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53536 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
