This is a BBC problem and I don't think the plugin can't fix it easily. Favorites can be made for a "brand" which is a BBC term for a Titled program such as "Danny Baker" or "Composer of the Week". Within that brand there will be episodes - each uniquely identified. So if you make a Favorite from an episode - the favorite will have the unique identified which is used to play the program but the identifier becomes invalid once the programs has been removed from iPlayer (typically after 7 days).
IIRC Episodes in a brand are not identified as say "monday's programme" - just program title and date of broadcast.
