Sorry you're having trouble; a few quick questions: Is that the latest plugin version released a couple of days ago (v3.5.4)? If not then that's the problem.
Are you using the embedded branch or the trunk of 7.5? I've only tested with the trunk and it's possible there's a difference between the two (although I think that's unlikely). Does the plugin work if you manually navigate to the lazy search menu options with the remote?
