Thanks - but I installed softsqueeze via the squeezecenter UI, and as you say the shortcut used to be on my desktop. But now it has gone - no ide why - maybe i deleted it by accident. If I install SS again via the UI the shortcut doesn't appear, and hence I can only start SS via the UI which is a pain since I actually now run the server on a different PC. Any chance you can tell me what is in your shortcut so I can create a new one?
