I get that message every now and then and when I look at the Settings/Plugins/Spotify/Settings page it looks alright but it does not show that I'm logged on to Spotify. I enter my Spotify password and press Apply a few times and when the settings page confirms that I'm logged on to Spotify everything works ok again. If that does not work I wake it up by entering the wrong password and hit apply and once it complains about not being able to log on I just change to the right password and hit apply and everything works ok again.
