A little more information. All my previous testing not exhibiting the issue was done while tracks were playing. Once the playlist had finished however, the behavior returned. This time though I patiently waited and after 30 seconds or so the player did connect. I then started another playlist and each time iPeng connected instantly to the player as long as tracks were playing.
