I've had this prob a couple of times. It seems to be associated with having another player on the network turned on. If you run more than one player and the skipping occurs, check the other players to see what they are up to. If two players are trying to play Spotify you will certainly get this behaviour as they fight each other for control. I dare say the same will occur if you have Spotify open on your PC and are also trying to use it via your Squeezebox. Having said that, I have succesfully played Spotify to two players but only if they are in sync and therefore playing the same, single, stream.
