I too am having trouble getting SlimNAS to start using 0.7.2. It appears to install OK but it cannot start. I haven't delved into permissions or log files. My first thought was to revert to 0.7.1 because I successfully used 0.7.1 last night on a different computer. But I'm still having problems getting SlimNAS to start using FreeNAS 0.7.1 on my new computer.
My question is: -Does it matter what kind of file system my *slimnas* folder resides on?- I successfully installed SlimNAS/Squeezebox Server on my other computer last night. That computer, an old computer, runs FreeNAS 0.7.1 with a different hard drive. The computer was previously set up to boot from CF with FreeNAS 0.685; I upgraded it to 0.7.1 without a hitch. (I installed SlimNAS after the upgrade.) Those shared partitions were UFS-formatted. The only thing I did differently (as far as I remember) is use a disk with NTFS partitions on my new FreeNAS computer. The new comp uses an Atom CPU (64-bit) but that shouldn't matter as long as FreeNAS boots, right? Thanks in advance for any reply. -- Danny8 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Danny8's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=27606 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=82079 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
