I have version 2.1.0.1433 of Whitebear. On the Win XP machine I installed the UPnP User Interface and checked that the SSDP Discovery Service was running. Whitebear (and SBS) is mentioned automatically among the exceptions to Windows firewall. On the Win 7 machine I confirmed that the network discovery option was activated and I turned on media direct play and allowed it for everything Whitebear. I have not altered the Win 7 firewall. I have not done anything with my router since the two machines are on my local network (hard wired). The status reported by Whitebear looks fine (and I can see it on a web page from the Win 7 machine not running Whitebear): > Whitebear Server Status > > > IP Address > 192.168.1.101 > > SSDP listener > Active > > SSDP notification sender > Active > > M-SEARCH responder > Active > > HTTP server > Active > > HTTP server port > 31416 > > Squeezebox CLI connection > Active > > Squeezebox players served > > 4 > > Squeezebox Server Status > > > IP Address > 192.168.1.101 > > HTTP server > Found (on port 9000) > > CLI server > Found (on port 9090) > > Server version > 7.5.4 > > Status > Ready > > Library name > Sörens musik > > Player count > > 4 I can send/play to the Squeezeboxes from MC but I always get the error message when I try to load the SBS library in MC. -- vagskal 2 x SB3 (wired), Receiver (wired), Boom (wireless), Controller, iPeng on iPhone 4 & iPad, muso on remote computer running Win 7 64-bit | 7.5.4 on Win XP ------------------------------------------------------------------------ vagskal's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=20778 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=82399
