UPDATE: Having tested the MP3 stream over the default FLAC it seems to be holding onto the stream to just the Boom much better. Dare I say even perfectly.
Takes a little longer to initialise the stream for some reason but once it's going it's fine. Still drifts but from our conversations I think that just goes with the territory.
