Do you get similar number of updated entries if you add another track
?
Could you try to temporary install the "Database Query" plugin and
report the results from its "Squeezebox Server Inconsistency/Problems",
"TrackStat Inconsistency/Problems" and "TrackStat Statistics" queries ?
