Aha - I did install Inguz DRC and that did require me to make some sort of custom type file. Can't quite remember the details, and I have given up using Inguz now (sadly). I think I'll just leave it be with the Native AAC option disabled as this seems to work nicely. At some point I'll have to rebuild my PC and start afresh then. Thanks very much for your help..
